Pamela Hays is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her training at the Pacifica Graduate Institute  in Carpinteria, California.  She did her internship at Jewish Family and Children’s Service in Tucson, Arizona, and received her licensure from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.  Pamela has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of clinical problems including anxiety-related disorders, grief and loss, depression, eating disorders, relationship concerns, problems related to low self-esteem, family of origin issues as well as addictions. She also treats autism and related disorders, obsessive compulsive problems, ADHD and behavior problems in children.  She has completed training for Certification in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy through the Arizona Center for Psychoanalytic Studies.  She now teaches infant and child development courses there.  She also teaches courses to parents and other therapists in the community.
Pamela’s primary orientation is developmental and psychoanalytic.  She utilizes cognitive behavioral theory and technique as well, depending on the needs of the patient.   She has completed the Basic Course on the DIR/Floortime Model (Documentation of Mastery certificate).
